Madeleine is a first generation Mexican woman raised along the Texas Mexico border, where color, tradition, and celebration were part of everyday life. Growing up, events like Charro Days showed her how deeply clothing can express identity and cultural pride.

La Paloma grew from a desire to bring that spirit into everyday wear rather than reserving it for special occasions. The work draws from traditional embroidery and reimagines it through a modern, wearable lens.

As a plus size Latina, Madeleine centers inclusivity in her work, creating pieces for women and girls across a range of sizes. La Paloma is rooted in representation, allowing each Palomita to feel seen and connected.

For Madeleine, the work is more than clothing. It is a way to honor heritage, support traditional craft, and share culture through thoughtfully finished, one of a kind garments.
